THE Catholic Church is having problems, at times are scandalous and at other times horrible. We believe that Christ founded His Church, the Catholic Church on the Rock, so strong that Christ said the “gates of hell will not prevail against it.” But now the Church is, well, to use the metaphor, “on the rocks”, meaning facing serious problems. Two Cardinals had been sacked; one was sentenced to imprisonment and one is awaiting his fate. Several bishops had been summoned by US prosecutors to explain some “improprieties” and even criminal cover-up.
