A newly formed Sixties Scoop organization wants to bring adoptees who were sent abroad home. The Indigenous
Survivors of Child Welfare Network held a news conference Tuesday in
Ottawa to ask the federal government for an apology and reparations.
“All of us were
trafficked all over Canada and the world,” said Colleen Cardinal,
co-founder of the network. “So how do you apologize for that? How do you
make reparations?
