If you think the Catholic Church doesn’t have a massive problem with priests molesting children, take a look at this document
from the Archdiocese of Santa Fe, New Mexico listing 74 who have been
convicted of raping children either by the church, the state or both.
The letter expresses great sadness and
sorrow, of course, but that is of little comfort to the hundreds of
children who were raped. And it turns out that one reason this diocese
had so many was because they were the ones who treated and counseled priests that were known child rapists.
