Bishop Of Killaloe Uncomfortable With Religious Link To Maternity Hospital

The Bishop of Killaloe says he’s not comfortable with the idea of a maternity hospital being guided by Catholic ethos. It comes as talks on the ownership of the new national maternity hospital are expected to be substantially completed by the end of the month.
t the weekend, around 2,000 people took to the streets demanding that ownership and control is not given to the Sisters of Charity, thorugh the St. Vincent’s Hospital Group. Bishop Fintan Monahan has told Clare FM that he has issues with this too.
