The name of former Brisbane Grammar School principal
Max Howell has been removed from the BGS sports centre as an apology to
former students who were sexually abused. Dr Howell led the school from 1964 to 1989, during which time school counsellor Kevin Lynch molested scores of boys.
The Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse heard in November that parents had gone to Dr Howell for help and the former principal had even walked into Lynch's office during the abuse.
