I am writing to express my sincere disappointment with your headline article Sept. 17, “Grand jury investigates diocese.”
Let me start by saying all of us who are faithful Catholics are deeply
disturbed and saddened by the child abuses that have occurred in our
church. Individuals were to blame for the abuse, but some church leaders
were to blame for the cover-ups and lack of compassion for the victims.
