A Polish archbishop who was suspended from ministry after
resigning in 2002 amid sex-abuse charges has been reminded by the
Vatican that he should not participate in Church liturgies and public
ceremonies.
Archbishop Julius Paetz, who resigned as head of the Poznan archdiocese after he was charged with molesting seminarians, was told that he should not take part in celebrations marking the 1050th anniversary of Christianity in Poland, and the July visit to Krakow by Pope Francis for World Youth Day.
