Campaigners challenge Church’s acceptance of Bishop George Bell paedophile allegations

A group of Church figures, academics, politicians, and lawyers have condemned the Church of England’s decision to accept allegations that Bishop George Bell abused a child. 
Today (March 20) the George Bell Group said it had raised the matter with the Archbishop of Canterbury. In October last year, the Church paid a civil settlement to a person who had accused Bishop Bell of abusing them as a child.
