A SILENT, GLOBAL PANDEMIC.
Child sex abuse is escalating worldwide. Studies estimate that 300,000
children are sexually abuse every year. In addition, there are
approximately 40 million survivors of child sexual abuse in the United
States – which is comparable to the entire population of California.
Even more disturbing is that according to the National
Institute of Mental Health a typical child sexual predator abuses an
average of 117 children throughout his life, and the ongoing abuse
increases over time and lasts an average of four years. Compare that to a
serial pedophile who can have as many as 400 victims over the course of
his lifetime.
