The former principal of a Catholic parochial school in Revere,
Massachusetts, has filed suit against the Boston archdiocese for forcing
her resignation in a case that appears to involve an over-reaction to
reports of possible abuse.
Alison Kelly, the principal of Immaculate Conception school, stepped down in January, amid complaints that the school had failed to report a complaint. An investigation revealed that the complaint involved the use of a boys’ bathroom by an adult janitor; no abuse was ever alleged.
