A former National Party leader and an author are now heading calls for
an independent inquiry into a two decade old child abuse case.
Christchurch Civic Creche worker Peter Ellis was convicted on 13 charges in 1993. Don Brash and Lynley Hood argue it was a time when there was a "wave of child abuse hysteria".
