A convicted sex offender has lived the last 40 years "on a false
premise" without people knowing his shady past, a court heard today as
two women he abused as children fight to have him named and shamed.
Christchurch sisters Karen Beaumont and Anne-Marie Forsyth want to expose the man who sexually abused them when they were aged between 10 and 14 in the 1970s. They took their battle to the High Court in Christchurch today for a landmark judicial review.
