Victoria moves closer to national compensation scheme for sex abuse survivors

Victoria is edging closer to signing up to a national compensation fund for child sex abuse survivors, with a decision likely within weeks. In the wake of the royal commission handing down its landmark report into into institutional child sexual abuse, the Andrews government has reiterated its in-principle support for a redress scheme but says it is still finalising key details.
