A Blenheim priest has admitted a charge of indecent assault on a male over 16. vAlastair Aidan Kay, 71, a priest at St Mary's parish based in Blenheim, was stood down from the church after a complaint was made to police about an incident on July 15.
He appeared in the Blenheim District Court this morning for the first time. Defence lawyer Rob Harrison asked that the conviction not be entered so Kay could go through a restorative justice programme
