Locking young people up in police cells
isn't the way to deal with young offenders - that's the message from a
lawyer and youth advocate.
Yesterday it was revealed
Child, Youth and Family kept what they called a drugged-up, volatile
youth offender in a police cell for four nights. A spokesperson for CYF
said the 16-year-old girl refused to get on a plane to a youth justice
