New Zealand's longest-serving prisoner is "not amenable to treatment" and must stay behind bars, the Parole Board says. Alfred
Thomas Vincent, 77, has spent 47 years in prison on a sentence of
preventive detention for sexual offending against five boys in
Canterbury in the 1960s.
Vincent has lost his latest bid for parole, with the board confirming in a decision released on Tuesday that the recidivist offender remains high risk despite being in poor health.
