An unrepentant sex offender who kept his daughter as a sex slave for
23 years has been denied parole because of concerns about the
reliability of monitoring him by GPS.
Dutch-born Ronald Van Der Plaat, 80, was jailed for acts described by his sentencing judge as "indescribable cruelty" against his daughter over a 23-year period in the Pacific Islands and at their Te Atatu, west Auckland home.
